Breakfast in Bed
18/12/2011 - Posted by admin in Bedroom Ideas
There’s nothing better than getting a lie-in, except perhaps getting a lie-in followed by breakfast in bed.
But what is your idea of the perfect breakfast in bed, continental? Maybe a Full-English?
The perfect breakfast in bed is all about logistics, not usually a term you would associate with breakfast, but the perfect breakfast in bed is all about logistics!
A Full-English might be a bit greasy and your Egyptian cotton sheets won’t appreciate a grease stain or even a blob of ketchup.
And what seem like a simple bowl of cereal could end up as a puddle slowly soaking into your duvet.
Toast anyone? …crumbs … need we say more!
So the perfect breakfast in bed must start, first and foremost with a sturdy tray, preferably with legs, creating a stable surface from which to enjoy your treat.
Then as far as getting your morning grains, why not try porridge, pour it on top of a bed of fruit and swirl through a yummy compote.
For something a bit more substantial you don’t always have to go for the full works…. you can enjoy something more refined like poached egg and salmon on a toasted bagel.
Finally the most important part of the breakfast, tea or fresh coffee of course! Remember always make a pot as one cup may just not hit the spot.
