We’re taking a moment with Ed Westwick this week to explore his new dressing room. The Hollywood actor showed us around the home he shares with fiancée Amy Jackson, and we love their quiet luxury aesthetic. Quiet luxury was everywhere in 2023 after TV show Succession sparked the term, and we’re predicting this timeless style will continue to inspire and elevate homes throughout 2024. With a focus on classic investment pieces which you’ll love for years to come, quiet luxury is focused on clean lines, neutral palettes, and quality materials. Ed and Amy had a Hammonds Croft wardrobe installed in white, which is a beautifully minimalist shaker style with a painted wood finish—a perfect foundation for a home which will evolve with you throughout the years. Including elements of contemporary design, quiet luxury meets modern farmhouse in Ed and Amy’s home. With a blend of rustic and industrial interior style alongside traditional materials such as linen and tumbled limestone, their home is overflowing with Pinterest-worthy inspiration that we’ll definitely be adding to our wishlist. Textured fabrics are a great way to soften the minimalist lines found in quiet luxury styles. Roman blinds, with their delicately folded pleats, are often made from linen to create a clean finish. If you have a small nook or a deep recess around your windows, Roman blinds can transform the space into one that’s cosy and inviting. The limewash walls in a plaster-pink shade are a nod to the rural country surroundings which surround Ed and Amy’s abode. Accompanied by a paving slab flooring in a natural finish, this space is a masterclass on how to bring the outside inside without leaning too heavily on earthy shades. When recreating this style, look for bold black accents to add weight to these lighter base colours and worn materials. Black and heavier accent colours can be used throughout your home to create a beautifully cohesive style, as seen in Ed and Amy’s industrial windows and the wide black picture frames. A sleek and minimalist chrome chandelier accompanied by mirrored surfaces brings a modern element to the space and creates visual interest through the inclusion of a new texture amongst the natural materials. You can get the look by exploring similar metallic or reflective finishes in your light fittings or details—we especially love how metal doorknobs look against a painted wood finish.
