Create your perfect kitchen for less

The layout of your new kitchen is key; not choosing the right design can hinder the functionality of the space. As experts in kitchen design, we explore three popular kitchen layouts and show you how to create your perfect kitchen for less, with Hammonds.

U-Shaped Kitchen

The U-Shape kitchen allows for plenty of surface to work on, and provides plenty of opportunities for storage solutions. The size of the U-Shape kitchen can also make or break your design, too large and it may feel as it’s not enough, and a smaller room will feel too clustered and may benefit from an L-Shape kitchen instead.

L-Shaped Kitchen

The L-Shaped kitchen allows for an open space feeling, along with providing flexibility. To get the most efficient use of space, ensure there is worktop on either side of the sink and the cooker. As the L-Shape kitchen only has one corner, you'll want to utilise this with a cabinet upgrade such as our Magic Corner Pull Out*.

Island Kitchen

The Island Kitchen is the ultimate choice for open plan designs and the Island itself can include multiple purposes. A worktop overhang in the design could add a functional and beautiful breakfast bar. Alternatively, shelves and drawers provide thought out storage options. Having a wine cooler or fridge installed within the Island can make food preparation effortless.
