A classic style, the Shaker kitchen combines simplicity with practicality. Originating in the late 18th Century, the focus is on handmade craftsmanship, for an understated design that’s built to last a lifetime.
The beauty of shaker style kitchens is in their versatility. They suit any home, from the uber-modern city apartment to the characterful country cottage. The typical style includes square framed kitchen doors with inset centre panels, which are often painted in a matt finish. At Hammonds we have an elegant colour palette to select from, meaning you can add your own unique personal touch.
For a homely, traditional feel we recommend choosing a warm oak or cream finish. Or for a more contemporary design, opt for pebble grey to give this traditional design a contemporary twist.

The closer details
Here at Hammonds, we're proud of our new process of building and installing beautifully hand-made kitchens. We'll visit your home not once, but twice, taking our time to carefully measure your space to make sure you get the perfect fit. Our kitchens are then built in our Leicestershire workshop before being hand-painted. Choose from a selected palette of complementing of the moment paint colours, applied using a special sprayer to ensure an even finish across all your cabinets.
