The Hammonds design team along with interior stylist, Sarah Slimm, held a design consultation with Pat to outline how her bedroom would be transformed from a dull and dated room to a timeless, tranquil retreat.
The team felt that the Harpsden range was the perfect fit with its traditional features and unique charm that would complement Pat’s Victorian London home.
Sarah Slimm chose the ivory colour scheme to create a spacious and airy feeling in the room which would also add to the classic vintage theme.
“The furniture had been designed incorporating floor to ceiling built-in storage which not only supported the room’s character but created plenty of storage space. To complement this I created a feature wall around the Victorian fireplace centrepiece to ensure the traditional finish of the room remained prominent.” explained Sarah.
"As a contrast against the neutral tones of the Harpsden furniture I introduced a colour palette to bring the room to life using pops of green and subtle patterns revamping the room into the 21st century.”
“I never thought I would have a bedroom I could be proud of, it just always seemed to be forgotten about when I planned any redecoration and I just thought I’d never have time to sort it out. Thanks to the Hammonds team I can now say that my bedroom is my pride and joy. It’s the first room I show people when they come to visit and now a space I love spending time in. I can’t thank Hammonds enough for this magical transformation it still doesn’t feel like it’s actually in my house!"
