The brief

To utilise the high ceiling of the Victorian home with perfectly fitted furniture that seamlessly fits into the Traditional look and feel of the house.

Range: Harpsden | Finish: White

This Victorian four-bed semi in the heart of East-London is a serene and elegant home. The simplicity of this bedroom makes it so appealing. Two large sash windows fill the room with enormous amounts of natural light through the day.

Simple design can be most effective, letting the quality speak for itself. Behind closed doors, functionality paired with clever storage solutions, only being made possible through fitted furniture, promotes wellbeing and calm throughout the home.

Bigger rooms suit a lighter colour palette where as small spaces best suit darker tones, enhancing small areas making the room feel more inviting.

Sarah Slimm, interior designer who styled this Harpsden bedroom explains;

"If I had my way I would lounge all day with my earl grey at those grand light filling windows. The bedroom is a beautiful space blending both contemporary and classic style.

"The high ceilings, sash windows and original features are pulled together wonderfully with a soft Farrow and Ball palette which is the perfect backdrop for the curated pieces.

"The Harpsden range by Hammonds Furniture fit seamlessly into the room, making it feel as if its original furniture that’s always been there."

Home owner Anita described her Hammonds experience as very professional, affordable and excellent quality fitted furniture.
