As an Installation Manager, you'll be responsible for the operational delivery of field services across your region, supporting and managing a network of around 80 self-employed partners who install furniture in customers' homes. Your success will come from balancing operational outcomes, strong partner relationships, and customer satisfaction, ensuring every partner reflects Hammonds' brand and values.
This is a busy, people-focused role where you'll manage multiple partners across locations. While much of the work is carried out remotely via phone, video, and online systems, you'll regularly engage face-to-face to strengthen relationships, provide feedback, and drive performance.
The role:

Build strong relationships with Installer Partners, ensuring they understand service standards and act as brand ambassadors.

Monitor performance, quality, and service delivery, providing feedback and addressing non-compliance through structured processes.

Conduct scribe tests and Partner feedback sessions to verify technical knowledge, reinforce the win-win earnings model, and support continuous improvement.

Ensure Partners return to 100% of failed installations within agreed SLAs and maintain coverage aligned with business demand.

Handle escalations, including service complaints, property damage, or missed appointments, quickly and fairly.

Maintain oversight of active jobs, intervening to keep operations on track.

Collaborate with Installation Coaches and National Training Managers to deliver induction, upskilling, and ongoing support, and encourage use of self-serve training resources.

Track and analyse performance metrics, including NPS, Trustpilot, error rates, and complaints, reporting trends, risks, and opportunities.

Organise regional meetings or events and deliver structured feedback sessions to maintain Partner engagement and alignment with company values.
You will bring:

Proven experience in field operations management, preferably in a self-employed or partner-based model.

Strong skills in capacity planning, performance management, and driving operational excellence.

Excellent relationship-building, influencing, and problem-solving abilities to support and motivate your team.

Confidence managing a high-volume, geographically dispersed workforce.

Resilient and adaptable, able to balance day-to-day operational challenges with longer-term strategic goals.

Previous experience in furniture installation is highly desirable.
Your Working hours/ pattern will be:

5 Days per week

Monday - Friday

8.00am – 16.00pm (flex)

37.5 hours per week total

Weekend availability (over the phone) on a rotational basis

Base: Remote/ Hybrid with regular travel
