When Clare Mackintosh, Sunday Times bestselling author of I LET YOU GO and I SEE YOU, moved into her beautiful new property in Wales with her family, she knew which room she wanted to fit first. As a writer working from home, for her the office is the most important room in the house.

The Design
Following a great recommendation by her Mother-in-Law, she came to Hammonds looking for a contemporary range that suited her classic home snuggled in the breath-taking Welsh countryside.
Clare described how she feels inspired when surrounded by other author’s literature; therefore a spacious bookcase with adjustable shelves was an important feature. Floor to ceiling fitted furniture proved just the thing, leaving no space-wasting gaps. The Shaker style design and modern painted finish of the cabinets matched well with her industrial features and a splash of colour from her book cover wallpaper.
Relating cohesively with the industrial elements of the room, Clare’s desk with distressed wood and steel legs added another contemporary dimension, yet was simplistic enough to match the Shaker style office cabinetry.
Clare loves working in her spacious and beautiful home office working on her forth novel, after the recent release of her third 'LET ME LIE'.
