Why did you choose Hammonds?

Living in a 17th-century barn conversion, it was important for us to find furniture that would work in harmony with the character of the space while making the most of its unique features like the wooden beams. Hammonds made-to-measure approach gave us the flexibility we needed, and the quality and craftsmanship immediately stood out. It felt like a considered, long-term investment in our home. 

What was the space like before you had the transformation?

Before the transformation, the bedroom felt underutilised and lacked both structure and well-designed storage. I wanted to create a space that felt more cohesive and intentional, somewhere calm, elevated and effortlessly organised. 

The office previously felt quite stark and impractical, with limited storage and little warmth. With the introduction of fitted furniture, it has been completely reimagined into a space that feels both functional and inviting, somewhere that supports how we live and work every day. 

How would you describe your interior style?

My interior style is clean, neutral and contemporary, with a focus on simplicity and balance. I'm naturally drawn to soft, understated tones and uncluttered spaces that create a calm and relaxing atmosphere throughout the home. 

Is organisation important to you? If so, why?

Organisation is essential to me, as it has such a positive impact on how a space feels to live in. When everything has its place, it creates a sense of calm and clarity, making day-to-day life feel more seamless and considered. 

What is the best thing about your new space?

The sense of calm and cohesion it brings. Every detail feels thoughtfully designed, and the tailored storage means everything is beautifully organised while still feeling relaxed and lived in. 

How has your furniture had a positive impact on your life?

It has transformed how we experience our home. The bedroom now feels like a true sanctuary, while the office has become a space that encourages both productivity and creativity. Having intelligently designed, made-to-measure storage has simplified our daily routines and brought a greater sense of ease to everyday living.
