Regional Service Centre Supervisor

Role overview:

As the Oldbury RSC Supervisor, you will supervise all RSC processes including managing goods in and out, ensuring vehicle and driver compliance with EU regulations, and maintaining health and safety standards. You will play a critical role in ensuring the RSC remains compliant, reporting any issues to the Regional RSC Supervisor, and taking responsibility for your own health and safety and that of others.

Key Responsibilities:

Goods In:

· Perform advanced checks of AS400 to understand workflow and implement effective planning.

· Scan and pick all orders daily, reporting any problems through the proper channels.

· Traffic plan deliveries and maintain stock levels and records.

· Follow Standard Operational Procedures and adhere to Health & Safety procedures.

Goods Out:

· Assist visiting customers, Installers, Divisional Installation Managers, and couriers.

· Help drivers with the location and loading of furniture for collection.

· Ensure proper scanning and paperwork processes are followed.

Fleet:

· Ensure drivers complete daily walk-around checks and record and resolve all defects promptly.

· Maintain all vehicle records and send work sheets to Head Office.

Other Duties:

· Drive delivery vehicles and follow duties and procedures aligned with the Van Driver position.

· Utilise available resources efficiently to maintain service levels and coverage.

· Keep all KPI and Cage Count data up-to-date.

· Audit and reorder fit-critical stock, stationery, and cleaning materials.

· Ensure 100% recycling of rubbish and fitter kits.

· Provide feedback on issues or complaints to Distribution Management, Consumer, and New Homes teams.

· Train and assist new staff, maintain a flexible approach, and complete Working Time Directive timesheets.

· Maintain housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe working environment.

 

How you will succeed:

· Driver De-Briefs: Conduct thorough driver de-briefs.

· Vehicle Maintenance Reports: Keep detailed vehicle maintenance reports.

· Monthly Vehicle Condition Inspections: Perform regular vehicle condition inspections.

· Right First Time: Ensure processes and procedures are followed correctly the first time.

· Quarterly Stocktakes: Participate in quarterly stocktakes, including on Saturdays.

Main Purpose of the Job:

· Supervise all RSC processes including Goods In, Picking, Goods Out, Vehicles, and Drivers.

· Ensure compliance with EU commercial driver and DVSA regulations.

· Maintain RSC compliance and report any issues to the Regional RSC Supervisor.

· Take responsibility for personal health and safety and that of others.

· Collaborate with employers and co-workers to ensure legal compliance.

Key Performance Indicators:

· Successful driver de-briefs and vehicle maintenance reports.

· Regular vehicle condition inspections.

· Efficient and accurate quarterly stocktakes.
