Under stairs in Rugby

We recently had an under-stairs build installed by Hammonds, and overall it’s been a mixed but mostly positive experience. The assembly team ( Adrian Ell) was excellent(5 stars!)– everyone we dealt with on a personal level was friendly, professional, and clearly knew what they were doing. On installation day, the fitter was polite, efficient, and did a solid job. The final product quality is good and looks exactly as designed. However, the waiting time was a major downside. From order and payment to installation it took around four months. We were originally promised installation before Christmas, but this didn’t happen. What was most frustrating was the lack of communication – there was no call or message to inform us that the date had changed. On the day we were expecting installation, no one arrived and we had no information. Customer service was very difficult to reach; they wouldn’t speak with me for most of the day. In the end, I actually had to find the installer on social media just to work out whether someone was coming or not. Only later in the afternoon did someone finally contact me to rebook the installation for after New Year. One important tip for future customers: make sure absolutely everything you want is included in the project visualisation. The installer will follow that plan exactly, and changes later on aren’t really possible. In summary: great people, decent product, poor communication and long delays. If Hammonds improved their customer service and kept clients better informed, the experience would be much better.

James came round to quote for an office/craft room, a fiited wardrobe, and a wardrkbe and dressing table in the other bedrooms. He was very thorough and listened to all our requets. His designs were welll thought out and clear to understand.
