Sam worked really hard and created the most wonderful Study. Very polite and easy to talk to. It’s been a pleasure working with Hammonds from start to finish. Matt the designer stayed with me for nearly 2 hours to create a design with plenty of storage in an awkward space. I would definitely use them again

Fantastic Service from Start to Finish

I received excellent service from start to finish with Hammonds, from initial contact with Daniele from Sales to follow up after installation. Every step of the way I was kept updated with timeline of the process and my fitter Cristian is an expert in his craft, installing my wardrobe to time and with no mess. If you want quality wardrobes at a great price then look no further. Would definitely recommend Hammonds to others and use again.

Great product and fantastic fitter but the rest of the process was lacking

I knew the product I was looking for. The sales person tried talking me out of it, telling me it wasn’t the right thing to do, and suggesting alternatives for other parts of the house. I insisted on what I wanted, which felt to create tension. I was very particular about shelf heights etc, the information discussed wasn’t captured and when the surveyor visited they weren’t able to do what was needed. The software used wasn’t able to accurately draw the design. The design needed to be revisited, the cost increased, and I was told I’d changed my mind. I hadn’t. The surveyor was then able to visit again. The whole time I was being chased for payment due when the surveyor work was signed off, before this was actually done. It felt as though they couldn’t wait to get my order through as quickly as possible. The fitters were faultless - polite, tidy, patient, and considerate of the particular measurements etc I was looking for. There was nothing that couldn’t be done and I’ve nothing but good things to say about them both. The product is good as well - good quality and looks very professional. My only ask is that there was an option for thicker shelves - I was told this wasn’t possible. I plan to put some heavy books on them and I’d have liked more than 15mm. I’d rate Sales a 1 star, Surveyor 3 star, Product 4 star. I’d rate the Fitter 6 stars if I could. 4 star overall. Hammonds pitches itself as bespoke furniture but during design they concede it’s not really - it’s just modular. When the fitter comes, very minor differences are possible with all of the materials already provided and a simple conversation. For me, the sales/survey part of the process needs sorting out. My advice to anyone looking to use Hammonds would be that if you know what you want then stick with it and challenge - they’ll tell you they cant do it, but they probably can.
