Delighted with the final product

The process started with Sharnel Hall, who came to assess our living room for alcove cabinets/shelving either side of our chimney breast. She was very friendly and personable, and a pleasure to deal with. The second part of the process was the survey for specific measurements of the cabinets. Third and final part of the process was the installation. Our allocated engineer, Samual Watkins, was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was extremely friendly and personable. He consulted with us at every step, and there were no requests from us that were too much trouble. He was polite, upbeat, respectful and worked very hard for long hours, without hardly taking a break. The job was allocated 1.5 days (which wasn't enough), but he came back in his own time to finish the job, rather than wanting to rush or cut corners. His professionalism and workmanship were exemplary, and he was able to workaround the shortcomings and inaccuracies from the survey that became apparent. It was clear that Samual really enjoys his work, and takes real pride in his work. We are absolutely delighted with the finish. We would definitely order from Hammonds, but only on the insistence of having Samual as our allocated engineer :-). Thanks Sam. 5 stars!!

Extremely happy with the final results

Hammonds Furniture delivered an experience that, on the whole, reflects a very well-organised and thoughtfully managed operation. From initial consultation through to installation, the process felt structured, efficient, and reassuringly clear at each stage. Communication was also consistent: their teams - from designers and the call centre to the surveyors and fitters/builders were professional, approachable and very easy to reach! Special thanks for accommodating with the very tight schedule! Where Hammonds truly excelled, however, was in the execution phase. The installation team - solely comprised of Andrei Capota - deserves particular recognition. Not only was he punctual and professional, but he demonstrated a commendable level of craftsmanship and practical problem-solving. It became apparent that certain elements of the original design were, shall we say, not entirely optimised for real-world application. The fitter approached these moments with impressive adaptability, making thoughtful adjustments on-site that significantly improved both the functionality and overall finish of the furniture. His attention to detail and willingness to refine imperfect plans elevated the final result well beyond expectations. Despite the time constraints, he did a fantastic job, and even managed to leave the space clean, tidy, and ready to use, which speaks volumes about his professionalism. If there were any areas that might benefit from a touch more refinement, it would be in the earlier design stages. There were a few instances where details required revisiting, and while these were ultimately resolved very well by the surveyor & installation team, a slightly more meticulous approach upfront would likely make the process even smoother. That said, these moments were handled with minimal fuss, and did little to detract from the overall positive experience. All in all, Hammonds provides a highly organised service backed by excellent on-the-ground expertise. The installing team, in particular, is a real credit to the company and plays a significant role in delivering a final product that customers can be genuinely pleased with. Strongly recommend
